iEnergy Solutions offers a range of materials engineering services including:

  • Support to subsea system and pipeline concept & FEED design with respect to materials selection, corrosion management, materials specification development and materials / equipment qualification.
  • Support to project execution including detailed design of corrosion management systems, subsea equipment and linepipe/coating procurement, pipeline welding qualification and subsea equipment / structures fabrication.

Materials engineering services are based on our state-of-the-art capabilities transferring experience from a range of Australian and international projects supported by our relationships with local and international R&D institutions and materials/fabrication suppliers.

The iEnergy Solutions materials engineering team specialises in:

  • Development and implementation of materials and corrosion management design for severe service conditions including high CO2 and HP/HT environments.
  • Materials and fabrication management for subsea equipment, linepipe manufacture / coating and subsea structures fabrication.
  • Support to technology qualification programs for heavy forgings and for high wall-thickness linepipe.
  • Support to fatigue resistant (SCR quality) pipeline weld procedure development and qualification.

The iEnergy materials engineering team fully recognises the schedule and technical integrity challenges associated with subsea equipment design, procurement and fabrication in the context of lump sum contracts and meets these challenges through delivery of risk-based integrity assessments.
